Born 1936
Gauteng, South Africa
A well-known South African artist, most popular for his loose impressionistic style and strong use of color, depicting his country with typical landscapes, animals, flowers and people of all races.
Pieter finished an academic career in drawing and lectures at a Technical College, later becoming a minister of religion after intensive theological studies and training.
Since 1981 he established himself well as an artist and found an art school where he taught and trained students in art. He visited Europe and America where he painted and sold numerous amounts of his works.
At present, he works on commissions and contracts, but still finds time to paint for well-established Galleries in the greater Johannesburg area. He presently resides with his family at Hartbeespoort Dam.
His contemporary works show more color and move towards expressionism.
